Most of all, no matter how 'big’ you get, every artist is still a fan. We all have people whose techniques we admire, whose talents we envy, whether you’re an accomplished professional or just a beginner. If another artist’s work inspires your own, it’s only natural to do fanart for them. Many of these artists are friends through their shared interests and sometimes you do fanart for your friends. If you can’t deal with that because of your jealous ego, it’s no wonder these artists don’t want to be your friend.
