More anthro Adventure Time Cake? :3

Unpopular opinion time: I don’t much care for Adventure Time. And it’s not like I haven’t given it a chance either. I watched the first six episodes and was getting bored. Marceline was certainly my favorite character but everything else didn’t really feel organic. Like, we weren’t discovering a world, just going through the motions of moving from one plot device to the next.

After my attempted forays into the show failed, I asked my brother, whos is a BIG fan, to show me what he thought were the best episodes to start on. Maybe it just started weak and you had to dig in to get to the good stuff. Three episodes later, I still didn’t care for it. And it’s not like random, fast-paced humor doesn’t appeal to me. I thoroughly enjoyed Bravest Warriors! Wander Over Yonder and Bee and Puppycat are among my favorites. I just don’t get where everyone is getting this impression that AT is some kind of animation revelation. I mean, it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t want to leave the room if somebody’s kid was watching it. But I certainly wouldn’t voluntarily sit down and choose that programming to be the one that fills my free time.

Lately, that has been Urusei Yatsura. It’s my first time watching and I gotta say, that show holds up!
