DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 10 (YET)

There is high chance of it bricking your computer or causing a lot of other problems.

If you have attempted to install Windows 10 and it fucks your shit up: Report it and demand compensation.

I saw this one coming, new software consistently has a bad launch these days, because they don’t test things the same way anymore. W10 is a beta, and everyone who downloads it now are free beta testers, which is why it’s FREE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I reserved my copy, but I’m not installing until I know it’ll go without a hitch, I’m not going to play their game. I’ve been part of enough of these bullshit deals with games, I know exactly what they intended with this.

It will work right now for some people, I’ve seen it, but it’s a gamble, and you should only install it if you are sure you are ready to format your hard drive and start fresh with your old OS if things go wrong.

I just want to clerify on this since so many people are being dickfaces to people who got screwed over by Microsoft’s crap.

I don’t think people were foolish for installing it, it really does work for a lot of people, but it’s still a risk, and you should be prepared. I should probably have said something before, since I knew people were having issues with the last of the technical previews too.

A lot of the current issues are related to certain graphics drivers being incompatible with Windows 10 since the last few test builds, which is why I’ve currently only installed it onto my Surface Pro 3.

My recommendation with ANY new game, program or especially Operating Systems, is to give it at least a month before upgrading.

If your system has an AMD or Nvidia GPU, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date, or install the current Windows 10 ready drivers before attempting to upgrade to the new version of Windows.

If you are still worried, then your best option is to wait 1-2 months before upgrading, it will still be free to upgrade anytime from now until until July 29 2016.

OR you could be smart and image your computer before you upgrade. Macrium Reflect is a good, free program that can do that for ya. Then, if things go south, you can roll your PC back to exactly how it was before. But that’s just me…
