Leo seems like an important character. But who is he exactly?

Leo is Seraph’s half brother. Many think that Seraph is the elder but Leo is actually two years older than him. The two of them share the same feline father who’s whereabouts are unknown. Seraph’s mother was a wolf who tenderly loved Seraph’s father and their son and raised him in the sunshine of the woods outside their home. Leo’s mother, a human, resented his father for bringing Leo into a world that would never accept him and tried to shield him from it in the shadow of their home. After a tragic accident which resulted in Leo losing his tail, his mother sued his father for negligence and gained full custody.

Leo was three when his mother took custody and she raised him as a single mother. They lived in a predominately human neighborhood and Leo was frequently alienated from the rest. His half anthro blood was as clear as the ears on his head and the whispers of adults lead to teasing from the children. He managed to make a few friends, typically with the few anthros that attended his schools but they didn’t stick for more than a few years. In time, Leo grew up to be an electrician. He was mildly successful, his work keeping him mostly out-of-sight but things in his life still felt hollow. He was half anthro in a human world and most of his best friends were anthro- and he began to think that perhaps he grew up with the wrong people.

Seeking out the only anthro family he could find, Leo came to Seraph’s Neighborhood in search of his half brother and a fresh start. But he’s about to learn that people are people no matter how much fur is on your skin- and even the oppressed can become an oppressor.
