Obviously I spent a little more time on this one than on some of the other posts I’ve done. I guess I just got carried away. Either way, it was fun and easy to do. Also, I like anthro Sandy Rivers and totally gotta draw her more often. It was also an excuse to draw Scarlet Rose which was also fun. ^_^

Often times during my lunch break, I like to doodle on the place mats. Normally, they’re crap and I just throw them away after the meal but this time, I drew BooBun and I rather liked it. I decided to take a picture of it with my phone and after toying with some of the built in filters, I came up with this.
Don’t ask me what is going on with that bird. I don’t know either.

Yeah, I’m still alive and drawing. I just don’t have as much time as I used to and I didn’t have much time to begin with. I still work on Gym Jane when I feel the inspiration, but inspiration runs thin when you’re stressed and in a new apartment. Lately I’ve been doodling, finishing small pieces for upcoming cons and playing Hawken. It’s not much but it keeps me from going insane so that has to count for something.
Moving sucks. Moving fucking sucks. I hate moving. I’m so tired. I’m just tired all the time and my allergies are going nuts. Fortunately, Linda was there to help but I think she’s regretting it now…
I’m a fan. I like the show, I enjoy the characters and I like the fresh, stylistic take on the classic franchise. Additionally, I dig the community. I even frequent an MLP RP when I have the time. To top it off, I’ve discovered artists like John Joseco and Atryl through it and they’re top-notch bloaks. Now, I’m not saying that I watch the show religiously and I’m certainly not flying out to Bronycon any time soon but it gives me giddy little giggles- that and I literally scream ‘Derpy!’ every time I see my favorite pegasus.
Well, to be frank, I used to be incredibly depressed. Art was among my only healthy forms of expressing myself. Since then, I’ve become much more stable, much happier. I guess you could say my art is like my emotional Barometer. I draw happy things when I’m happy, sad things when I’m sad and sexy things when I’m feeling sexy. I feel sexy a lot.
Oh yeah. I know my flashes have wandered far. That’s why all my flashes have a link to my FA page embedded in them. No matter where it wanders, I’m still getting credit for it through the link. I may not have authorized it but frankly, it can’t be avoided so hey, make the best of the situation! I’m just glad I started doing that early on instead of an unlinked flash spreading without my name on it.
Folks have mistaken Sandy Rivers for Milky Way before… I don’t like it when that happens.
Well, there’s a saying I’ve heard floating around that I rather like. It is, “Every artist is a fan.” For every picture I draw, I look at a hundred more. I love analyzing other artists styles, seeing how they ink and shade, taking everything I can from their work and using it to build my own. While I’m sometimes inspired by animated shows and films, most of my own inspiration is drawn from other artists, veterans and up-and-comers alike. You don’t have to be Blotch to bring something new to the table.
Trying to build a list of all the artists that have inspired me throughout the years would be futile. There are simply too many. However, it would be rude of me not to give credit to some of my favorites.
