It’s a funny thing when translating names from one alphabet to the next. As a Japanese name, it actually has two acceptable English spellings. Both Chahero and Chihiro are considered proper but Chahiro is not. And ya know what? I don’t care and I’m not changing it. In this world, Chahiro is a perfectly acceptable way to spell it and yawl will just have to deal.
I’m happy to accept commissions! What were you hoping to see?
It’s a game about jump scares. I hate jump scares. I don’t go to haunted houses for just that reason. It’s also why I hate most horror movies and games. Horror based on suspense, tension and a real sense of dread is much, much better. So in that regard, FNAF has all of these elements but since the big jump scare is core to the game, it loses me.
Also, I didn’t expect the game to just be sitting in a room closing doors. I thought it would be more like Alien: Isolation so I was disappointed by the gameplay.
We aren’t that far in but so far, it’s not looking great. The tutorial was frustrating, kind of annoying and then they give you virtually no ammo and every baddie is a bullet sponge. It’s a lot of sneaking, screwing up while sneaking, dying and then trying again five more times. I guess it’s good if you like games where you’re always on the verge of being deaded. We like more action horrors where you dead things with bullets. Hoping it gets better.
The scariest part about The Evil Within is the twenty minute installation process.
Leo is Seraph’s half brother. Many think that Seraph is the elder but Leo is actually two years older than him. The two of them share the same feline father who’s whereabouts are unknown. Seraph’s mother was a wolf who tenderly loved Seraph’s father and their son and raised him in the sunshine of the woods outside their home. Leo’s mother, a human, resented his father for bringing Leo into a world that would never accept him and tried to shield him from it in the shadow of their home. After a tragic accident which resulted in Leo losing his tail, his mother sued his father for negligence and gained full custody.
Leo was three when his mother took custody and she raised him as a single mother. They lived in a predominately human neighborhood and Leo was frequently alienated from the rest. His half anthro blood was as clear as the ears on his head and the whispers of adults lead to teasing from the children. He managed to make a few friends, typically with the few anthros that attended his schools but they didn’t stick for more than a few years. In time, Leo grew up to be an electrician. He was mildly successful, his work keeping him mostly out-of-sight but things in his life still felt hollow. He was half anthro in a human world and most of his best friends were anthro- and he began to think that perhaps he grew up with the wrong people.
Seeking out the only anthro family he could find, Leo came to Seraph’s Neighborhood in search of his half brother and a fresh start. But he’s about to learn that people are people no matter how much fur is on your skin- and even the oppressed can become an oppressor.
As you may or may not know, I shared a table with rudragon a couple weeks ago at Anime Banzai. While I was there, I drew up this linework as a bit of fun and I’m just now getting around to coloring it. I hope you like it, Ru! I know things have been kinda rough for ya lately.

I tried to hold out. I really did. I hadn’t even watched the music video until yesterday but I’ve seen art of this skelly everywhere. Then yesterday at a burger joint, I got to doodling on a placemat and this happened. But can you blame me? I mean, who doesn’t want to bone his bones?
