Defund police and ACAB are generalizations that just help extremist and criminal thinking growing, including those who are already inside politics and authority key points giving them more pretexts for "anti-establishment" propaganda with that (even more) distorted idea of public order that we are trying to avoid. I didn't see much signs or heard many speeches, if not in a weak form, explicitly say "responsabilize law forces" or "throw out the corrupt and violent cops" yet.

Alright, looks like we’re getting into this. For starters, we need to take a look at the Police Institution as a whole. The sad truth is that not only is it currently a system of racist and classist oppression, it always has been. From persecuting the Irish (see ‘Paddy Wagon’) to the Jewish, to Asian and Hispanic, a primary purpose of the Police Force was to enforce the will of the upper class and maintain White Supremacy. If you find that statement shocking to hear, I would like to ask you to check your privilege and research the subject with an open mind.

After the abolishment of Slavery, African Americans quickly became the #1 target of police brutality. See 'Segregation’ and 'Lynching’ if you would like to know more. If you think this problem was strictly relegated to the South or that all the problems just went away after Desegregation, you’re being naive and I would request you again check the privilege. You need only look at the current statistics to see just how broken the system is.

African Americans only make up 18% of the population and yet they comprise nearly half of the prison population. Charges against Black people are routinely inflated to ridiculous levels, landing them decades behind bars for minor offenses while white criminals get months for the same offense. 1/1000 African Americans will be killed in a police altercation and time and time again, police are FILMED brutalizing and murdering Black people and suffer no long-term consequences.

There have been reforms. There have been new laws and pledges to improve from the Police but nothing has changed. How could it when Qualified Immunity has made every officer completely protected from consequences? Cops will still choke and beat and kill because they have a system where they cannot be stopped and any threat to put them in place results in the entire Police Union coming down on local government.

People call these officers Bad Apples but One Bad Apple spoils the bunch. The bunch has been spoiled. It’s been spoiled for a LONG TIME and we’re sick of it. Asking for reform or regulation is naive. It won’t fix the problem. The Police system was bad from the start and protesters from all over the globe agree. Spending over 80% of the city budget on beating and imprisoning citizens will never fix the problem.

Defund the Police! Put that money in programs that fix the problem instead of punishing the symptom! Build Community Outreach programs that make better homeless services! Create Housing and Job Training Programs to help the poor! Invest in Infrastructure to create a better city for all and create jobs for the working class! Instead of sending officers with less 10 hours of sensitivity training to respond to disturbance calls, send mental health professionals! We don’t need dozens of officers patrolling low-income areas armed to teeth with military-grade equipment but that’s where all that money is going. It’s time to break that cycle and there’s simply no way forward as long as the Old Guard still hold the keys. So kindly get out of here with your “responsiblize law forces” talk. They had over 100 years take responsibility and they blew it. We will dismantle the system and build a new one. All the “good cops” are free to submit their applications once we’re done.

Silence is complacency. I’ve been vocal on other platforms but to make things absolutely, crystal clear here:

Black Lives Matter

Trans Rights are Human Rights

Defund the Police

We gave the police plenty of opportunities to reform but they blew it. It’s a system that opresses minorities and the poor, kills Black people and has zero accountability. End Qualified Immunity, arrest and CONVICT officers who commit murder, and take all that money you’re spending on a militarized police force and reinvest it in community programs and a better response system.

Emily Anderson
Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix

The first thing you could say about Emily is that she’s a caring soul devoted to helping others. Between her social work and volunteering work, she’s always reached out to the most disenfranchised and helped those who others have given up on. The second thing you could say is that she doesn’t speak a word if it can be avoided and doesn’t like to wear any clothing. She communicates non-verbally and to those that are attuned to it, she has a lot to say. She has a big crush on Leo but he’s not as attuned to the non-verbal furry language as most furs so he still doesn’t fully understand. She loves being outside and ADORES swimming be it in a pool, the beach or hot tub. It doesn’t matter, she just loves swimming!

Alt. for the masses not "eggy surprise" version of your last animated masterpiece?

If you can’t handle me at my ‘surprise oviposition’, you don’t deserve me at my 'femboi bunny hands-free orgasm’.

Joking aside, I’d rather work on something new than edit something I finished. I’ve been feeling a bit of the animation bug at the moment anyway so I’ll probably just do something with more mass appeal next.

About "Guest Art and Writing" I guess you will principally refer to your most trusted collaborators support for safeness, so I don't know how likely is involve other more or less notorious artists in the project, maybe to pay. Anyway follows my proposals: Stedilnik, Vibrantechoes which not sure if still active, Fluff-kevlar of ARA OC fame, Das and Sorok17 are mainly known for 3D but they are very good even with 2D stuff, Kittery and FallowWing from "Paraphore" development could writing a cameo.

In the way of guest contributions, I’ll gladly accept fan contributions as long as they aren’t too out-of-place with the rest of the game. Not entirely unlike Monster Girl Quest, I want it to be normal to see various different art styles as you progress through the game. However, I’d really like to reach a point where I can routinely commission artists and writers. I know a LOT of artists that I would love to get work from but that all hinges on how much funding I get, how much they cost and what their availability looks like.

I’ll probably avoid putting 3D assets in the game though. That might stand out a little too much in a 2D game.

My Fur Con Experience…

After attending my first Furry Convention I can confidently say…

It’s not for me. I met some new artists, attended some good panels, bummed around the Art Jam room but by Day 2, I quickly found I was running out of things to do. I didn’t really click with anyone and soon, a strong sensation of feeling alone in a crowd set in. I ended up leaving early on Saturday feeling utterly depressed. Everyone else was having the time of their lives and I couldn’t help but feel like I must have been doing something horribly wrong to not be enjoying myself. By Sunday, I didn’t even want to go back to the convention space.

Before I continue, there are some important notes for context. I went to the convention alone and I had to travel to get there. I didn’t have a car and I was in the Overflow Hotel which was a 10 minute walk through ~40 degrees F with rain and snow to get to the venue. That may not be very cold to you but I’m from Vegas so it was pretty darn chilly for me. Furthermore, with the Covid-19 scare, many of the artists and panelists I was hoping to meet canceled.

Despite this seemingly perfect storm of bad convention experience, it doesn’t really change the core issue: I just did not feel like I fit in at all. I know how silly that may sound as the Furry Scene is supposed to be for everyone but that only makes the problem worse. What on Earth must I be doing wrong to not fit in with the most accepting group out there? I must have looked just as out-of-place as I felt because I kept having parents or friends who got dragged to the event approaching me to talk- which was nice to have someone to talk to but I was hoping to meet other furs. One could make the case that wearing big, fluffy ears, a tail or partial suit would help make the distinction but the thing is, that’s not me. I don’t have a fursona and I don’t feel like I need to express myself as an animal. I’m an artist and I like to create Furry Media- that’s about the extent of it.

In the end, I felt isolated, alone and often wishing I was on the other side of one of the tables. The artists were the crowd I felt I had the biggest connection with and I wanted to be showing my work alongside them instead of just cycling through the Den and Alley over and over again because nothing else interested me. Ultimately, my takeaway here is that furry conventions are just for a different Demographic than me. I may still do a Table or two at various conventions or if there’s a lot of folks I know going to one con and it isn’t to expensive for me to make it, I may still pop by. But for the most part, I found that going to a con just to attend is not for me.

Lord Adder? like a "certain" Death Adder? >:3 Some feedback: *If will be long and ramificated enough to contemplate a save game feature, leave the choice to player when do it would be better than automatic. Otherwise associate it with REST. *Make a enemy health meter or a "tome of defeat monsters" with their characteristics *Some tracks like David Orr musics or the Chuck Cirino's OST for Deathstalker movies would fit *As easteregg, items inspired by your previous tumblr asks and art may be fun.

Anonymous

Well, nothing specific but Adders are also a variety of European snake so it is meant to be a name that conveys a menacing vibe. Not sure if Death Adder is a reference to something specific like a metal band or edgy anime…

As for when the player “does it”, they already have the choice- on the provision that they win the fight, of course. If Linda is defeated, it’s not really up to her what happens after that. If Linda succeeds and isn’t aroused, she’ll take her victory and go but if she wins and IS aroused (75% Will or lower) then the players may have the option to engage with the enemy. Just know that some enemies pass out or are destroyed when defeated by force.

Enemy Health Meter was highly requested so I’ll include an Enemy Health Indicator in the next build. Tome of Defeated Monsters sound like a really good stretch goal if the game gets funded. As for Sound Track, I can’t use any licensed music if I don’t want to get a DMCA so I have to use royalty-free tracks for now. I’d love to hire a composer to give the game a more unique audio profile but that will take a lot of money as I’d have to commission them for every track or put them on payroll.

If the anon has right and the game is whether inadvertently or intentionally made for 64 bit systems, I think it is normal that your phone executed it: Galaxy series now runs only on an Android version based on 64 bits hardware-software since this year they stopped 32 bits support, at least for PC, and they will drop it totally in 2021.

Anonymous

The game isn’t made for 32 or 64 bit systems. It’s developed with GDevelop 5 which is an HTML5 game engine. I chose that engine to make the game as universal as possible. It’ll run on PC, Mac, Android and any other web-capable device that supports HTML5. The version I put on itch.io was a .zip bundled version and THAT may be coded to 64 bit as part of the packaging but the web version should work on just about everything. If anyone has trouble with the itch.io version, try the raw HTML5 version on Newgrounds.
