Brief break

For my health, I’m going to take a brief break from drawing. People who have been to my art streams are probably no stranger to my usual limitations. I can typically draw for around two hours before my shoulder really starts to ache and I have to take a break. The pain would always go away in an hour or so and I could get back to it so it was no major concern. But last week, my shoulder started to hurt whenever I lifted my right arm. It’s been getting progressively worse to the point where I can’t reach above my head without a very sharp pain. I’ve got an appointment with a doctor to check it out but until then, I really want to play it safe and ease off my arm entirely. I’ll keep you guys updated when I learn more and hopefully, I can get back to the arts soon.

So how old is linda? I remember seeing her when I was in high school. Which was almost 10 years ago.

Well, I first drew Linda in 2005 but she didn’t really take off until 2008 when I completed Beach Linda. The character herself, depending on when you join the story, is anywhere from 24 to 28.

We want the Kittehs again!

People still remember those? I haven’t made Kittehs in years. I still have bags and boxes full of Kitteh merch I used to sell at cons- but I don’t really have any cons on my schedule in the foreseeable future so I doubt it’s going anywhere.

Thing is, when I made the kittehs, it was because they were easy to draw and cute. People responded to them far more enthusiastically than I expected so I churned a bunch out. But I guess you could say I grew out of them. I want to challenge myself, try new things and expand my talents. Kittehs are cute and all but after so long, they just get boring to draw. I might doodle one every now and then but they really aren’t a big subject matter for me anymore.
